Sleepy Fox Distillery

Updated: Apr 6, 2022

Part of the Virginia is for Stay-cation lovers series.

Though my husband and I truly enjoy visiting different vineyards/ wineries, breweries, distilleries, meaderies, you name it. Now in the interest of not sounding like drunkards, hehe we will typically choose three for a whole day out and usually have lunch in between. The point for us is to enjoy the taste and discover new things but not to feel largely impaired by alcohol. We also drink a ton of water.

Okay, okay, now that we understand one another, we are on a mission. By we I mean, ' Hey husband, wanna come with me and visit new and favorite places of ours and show people some fun things to taste for my VCT YouTube?!" Of course, his response was something like, "uh drink, have couples time, and it helps people find ideas to travel to in-state? I'm in." Okay, okay he didn't out those last statements together, that was me, but nonetheless, he was enthusiastic about helping me!

Sigh, okay, haha, this video is of our visit to Sleep Fox Distillery who specializes in Moonshine. the service was so nice, kind, & fun. The tastings options are broad and something for everyone as there are flavored moonshines, standard moonshine, bourbon, and vodka. Liquor is not my go-to drink but I still enjoy tasting and discovering. we really enjoyed Sleep Fox and it's SUPER close to our location, just north of Richmond on route 1 right off of I-95.

I hope this was helpful? Please check out the video - HERE- as we had a lot of fun this day and enjoyed a lot of yummy drinks.

Cheers to finding fun escapes within easy driving distance from your home. These COVID times are different and so many of us want to get away from the four walls and immediate communities we live in. This on-going series will reflect various locations around Virginia and, with hope, will help you find some fun get-a-ways for you and yours to experience this Fall and Winter... and whenever even when COVID stops being such a jerk. :) I;m feeling quite silly today.

Cheers to experiencing our own back yards!
