January Newsletter :)

Greetings Explorers!

Welcome to the first-ever Vintage Concierge Explorers newsletter!

In 2017, I took a trip with a few members of my family to Paris. I am excited to be sharing videos and images from this amazing second visit to France all throughout the year! When I arrived at our Airbnb, I was in heaven. Walking along Tomb (the road our housing was located on) we entered through a small section of two massive doors. As we entered, we passed through the hall/ outer foyer of the first housing building, which was small and colorful. After walking down a few steps, we emerged in a lovely, petite, and vegetation filled courtyard. 😍 The majority of this variety of greenery filled the squared center however there were numerous flowering plants outside their respective decorative doors encompassing the center.

Though my memories from this impeccable residence are as clear as the day I returned, so too is this courtyard. It was a beautiful, peaceful, flowering bit of green that felt like a little slice of heaven in the morning while drinking our Nespresso yet was equally relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening. Those moments of comfort after a long day walking through the Paris streets, an average of 5 miles, are as precious to me as must of the sites we explored. 😅

For many, a trip to the city of love should include a hotel stay and this style of vacation can have its luxuries. For those seeking an easier and more accommodating visit by means of language and laundry necessities, a hotel is perfect 👌. For this explorer, I prefer a location that helps me feel more connected to the environment. Not to mention all the repurposed wood and stained class salvaged from a local chapel made this particular location quite beautiful. Waking up to the distant sounds of the subway, someone practicing their violin, then walking out of the kitchen’s Dutch door to enjoy my morning coffee made hanging my clothing to dry All the more worth the effort.

An interesting tid bit about this location, the #ParisCatacombs run all over this area of #Paris and the enterence to this maz of tunnels extended quite far. Coincidently, our our #Airbnb was nestled just above millions of peoples resting places. 🤔 More about the catacombs in a video coming soon. For the time being, please follow VCE @vintageconciergeexplorers on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube for announcements, beautiful images, and fun videos.

If you are an avid travel enthusiast and looking for something fun, have you checked out Travel and Leisure magazine? #Notanad I simply love exploring with them. I imagine smelling the salty air of the sea, the florals in the hanging baskets of a tiny ally way, or the sounds of the subway near a boutique cafe.

I do want to help people find ways to travel while not blowing their budget. In future I will be including a few of my favorite promotions for those ready to plan future travel adventures. For today let leave it with this reminder that there yet be more to explore.
